
Here's a picture of it when it's cold. There is a light source at the bottom of the lamp that is heating up the liquid so that the dense liquid "bubbles" up and moves upwards - just as those you've seen from the shopping complexes.

Some bubble activity indicating that the bottom portion of the lamp had been heated up - yet not hot enough for the lava lamp to operate normally.

More bubble activities as the hardened liquid are now soften and submerged due to the heat generated from the filamens underneath the lava lamp.

Little bubbles now dissolves together forming large bobbling liquid at the bottom of the lamp.

As the light heats up the liquid, the liquid move upwards to the top of the lamp.

Forming the lava lamp that you always seen in the shopping complex !
