My 3 feet marine tank

Within it lays 5 fishes, 1 sea anemone and 3 corals. The setup cost me around RM1k in total - inclusive of the tank and cabinet, salt, live rocks, a filtering system, protein skimmer, pump and the tenants.

This is the view after switching off the white lighting. Marine tanks usually are equipped with blue and white lighting while freshwater tank are usually on white (with red - if goldfishes are present)

A closer look at the flowerpot coral. This coral was known to have a high mortality rate in captivity. It is also known as "Jewel Stone" with a scientific name of "Goniopora"

A closer look at the "flowerpot" or "Jewel Stone"...

This is the picture of the sea anemone (with tentacles), the bubble coral (behind it) and the flowerpot on the left side.

Now if you would have watched "Finding Nemo" you would know very well that the sea anemone provides shelter for the clownfish (aka nemo) while the clownfish takes care of the sea anemone by bringing it food.

STARBUCKS KLCC

Greeting from STARBUCKS KLCC ! The location of STARBUCKS KLCC is just by the KLCC park - near DOME.

My 5 feet Freshwater Aquarium

These are the few simple decors within my 5 feet freshwater tank. There is a hidden piping beneath the sand that channels bubbles out to ensure that the tenants have enough air to breath.

The tenants : 8 colored goldfishes, 1 black goldfish (nicknamed "Black Butterfly") and a dirty eating fish ("Bandaraya") to in keeping the tank clean.

LAVA LAMP

Ever wonder how a lava lamp looks like before it's fully functional ?

Here's a picture of it when it's cold. There is a light source at the bottom of the lamp that is heating up the liquid so that the dense liquid "bubbles" up and moves upwards - just as those you've seen from the shopping complexes.

Some bubble activity indicating that the bottom portion of the lamp had been heated up - yet not hot enough for the lava lamp to operate normally.

More bubble activities as the hardened liquid are now soften and submerged due to the heat generated from the filamens underneath the lava lamp.

Little bubbles now dissolves together forming large bobbling liquid at the bottom of the lamp.

As the light heats up the liquid, the liquid move upwards to the top of the lamp.

Forming the lava lamp that you always seen in the shopping complex !
